Coin flip
Who goes first? Flip the coin and it tosses, turns and lands on heads or tails, chosen by your browser's cryptographic random generator, with the tally kept on this device.
Tips
- Each side has an equal chance on every toss, so over many flips the counts settle close to even.
- A streak is a run of the same result in a row. Each flip is independent, so a run does not make the next flip more or less likely to match it.
- The tally and the last result are remembered on this device only. Reset tally clears them.
Questions
Is the coin fair?
Yes. Each flip picks heads or tails with the browser's cryptographic random generator, with no bias toward either side. Nothing is stored outside this device or sent anywhere.
Why does the coin spin several times before it lands?
The coin turns three or four full turns and then settles on the side that was picked. The number of turns varies from flip to flip, but the result comes only from the random pick.
Does it work offline?
Once Paperoom is installed or the page has been saved for offline use, the coin runs without a connection.
