Team maker

Need teams for game night? Type one name per line, choose how many teams or how many people per team, then make the teams. Team sizes differ by at most one.

Tips

Blank lines are ignored, and the same name can appear more than once if two people share it.
When the list does not divide evenly, some teams have one person fewer than the others.
Names and settings are remembered on this device only, so a refresh keeps your list.

Questions

How are people put into teams?

The names are shuffled with the browser's cryptographic random generator, then dealt out round robin, so team sizes differ by at most one.

Is my list uploaded?

No. The names are handled in your browser and saved only on this device. Nothing is sent to Paperoom or any other service.

Does it work offline?

Once Paperoom is installed or the page has been saved for offline use, the team maker runs without a connection.
